Zusammenfassung

The project aims to develop mature solutions for the energy and indoor climate optimization of buildings with facades which worth preserving, so that both comfort and energy consumption are brought to a standard close to the new building. In the project Institut für Bauklimatik (IBK) investigates hygrothermal properties of different interior insulation materials applied in historic buildings. IBK also analyzes the moisture and temperature conditions of the insulated facades by numerical simulations.
